John P. Owad

John P. Owad, 84 of Groveton passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday March 2, 2018, born January 15, 1934 in Webster, pa, son of the late Philip and Anna K, (Zelenko) Owad; Beloved husband of 60 years to JoAnn (Millie) Owad; father of Charlene (Richard) Bennett, Philip J. Owad and John J. Owad; all of Coraopolis; grandfather of Brian, Kristen, who was his special care giver and took great care of him, and Jason Bennett, Benjamin, Rachel, Christopher, Philip II and Adam Owad and Jessica Hoffman and the late Daniel Owad; brother of Mary Ann (John) Brogley, and Edward S. Owad both of Robinson Township. A meek and quiet man with unbelievable wisdom and understanding, that loved and lived for the Lord and his family. His faith shaped him into the kind and generous man he was. He was grateful and thankful for everything that was done for him. He always had a smile on his face that would light up the room. He was loved by all who knew him especially his wife, children and grandchildren, he will truly be missed. He was a veteran of the Army, a machine fitter by trade and a carpenter who built many houses. Psalm 23, Proverbs 3: 5-6 Services are private. Announcement by Copeland’s of Coraopolis.
