John Rodgers McAllister

John Rodgers McAllister age 80 of Sewickley Pa. passed away suddenly Feb. 22, 2018 at Heritage Valley Beaver. John was a Hair Stylist and owner of John McAllister Beauty Salon in Coraopolis for over 55 years. John the first generation from Scotland was the son of the late Frances Elizabeth Lentz and Hugh Rodgers McAllister. He was a member of the Coraopolis Presbyterian Church and sang on the Choir there, he also was a Veteran serving in the Army. He is survived by a daughter, Hope McAllister, long time companion Patricia “Patti” Moyles and her children; Taimi (Steven) Dunham, Trevor Pittman, Marcy (Jeff) Curtis, Janeen (Wes) Zapf also several grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Friends will be received Tues. 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home where a Service will be held Wed. at 11AM with Rev. Dr. Thomas Petrosky Officiating followed by burial in Sylvania Hills. If desired contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center will be appreciated.
