Henrietta Marie (Shost) Borden age 95, a lifelong resident of Groveton (Robinson) Twp. passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 with family by her side Henrietta was born on Sept. 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Shost. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Andrew (Andy). She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda and Mary and brothers; Theodore (Teddy), Andrew (Zackie), Stanley (Cush) and John. She is survived by her daughters Patty Pierce (John Fitzurka) of Groveton, Sandie (John) DeLatte of South Carolina, Kathy (Tim) Ibbetson of Washington State, and Andrea (Chris) Kierski of Groveton, The loving “Gram” of Patty (Pat) Slagle of Grove City, Johnny (Dana) DeLatte of Texas ,Susan (Jim) Irani of Grove City, Marc (Lara) DeLatte of South Carolina, Mike (Holly) DeLatte North Carolina, Craig DeLatte of North Carolina, Trent (Jessica) Ibbetson of Washington State, David (Julie) Kierski of the Philippines,  Krystin Ibbetson of Washington State and Jeremy (Kate) Kierski of Confluence. Great Grandma to; Emma DeLatte, Anson DeLatte, Devry Ibbetson, John Michael DeLatte III, Jacob Irani, Lilianna DeLatte, Jimmy Irani, Anna Slagle, Grayson DeLatte, Sydney and Kennedy DeLatte, Adryanna Ibbetson, Erick Ibbetson, Faith and Cody Ibbetson and Eliana Kierski, “Aunt Detta” will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Martha Church until its closing. Henrietta was a proud and active member of the Groveton Ladies Auxiliary. Everyone looked forward to coming to “Grandma’s” house for her pierogis and nut roll. The neighborhood “kids” looked forward to her Halloween candy apples. She always looked forward to family gatherings in Groveton. One of her favorite hobbies was going to the Casinos. She also enjoyed spending quiet time by the campfire with the family. The family will receive friends Wednesday  2-4 & 6-8 PM at The Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home where prayers will be recited Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, with Father Rich Celebrant, burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers family requests donations to St. Joseph Church, 1304 Fourth Ave, Coraopolis Pa. 15108.
