Geraldine E. (Lee) White, a wonderful mother, was a life-long resident of Coraopolis who passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at West Hills Health and Rehab. She was born in Olean, NY, one of nine born to the late John and Bedetta Elayne (Ashville) Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by spouses James Lester Tinsley and Police Chief Howard White, a brother Dale Lee and sister Jacqueline Goode. Beloved mother of James Lester Tinsley, Marilyn Bedetta Counsel, John Wesley Tinsley all of Detroit, MI, Betty June Wagner of New Stanton, Lawrence Lee Tinsley of McKees Rocks, Jacqueline Tinsley of Pittsburgh, Howard E. White of Coraopolis, Elayne Lynnette Wells of Crescent, Heather Ann English of Columbus, OH and Sara White of McKees Rocks; cherished sister of John Lee, Jr., June White, Joyce Lee, Sandra Marcus, Terrance Lee and Dorothy Lee; also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and spouses. Geraldine began her nursing career at St. Francis Hospital and retired in April of 1979 from Oakland VA Hospital. She was a lady with a big heart, who loved her children and will be remembered for her welcoming home that was the center of the family love. She was a generous supporter of various charities. Visitation Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Rev. Cindy Vogel officiating. Inurnment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. The family of Mrs. White would like to thank the staff of West Hills Health and Rehab for their wonderful loving care toward their mother.
