Dr. Frank J. Hodan Jr.

90 years of age, died at 12:15 P.M., Sept. 17, 2016 at Washington Commons A.C.H. in Bridgeville, PA where he had been a resident for approximately 5 ½ years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hodan, whom he was deeply devoted to. He is survived by his two sons Stephen Hodan, 65, of Torrington, Conn., Keith Hodan, 55, of Coraopolis, PA and a granddaughter, Jennifer Hodan of Sun Valley, CA. Also two brothers, John and Danny. He was a deeply devoted family man and idolized his sons and granddaughter. He was an avid photographer and, at any gathering, he always had cameras in hand. He had a warm and charming smile and regardless of what was going on that may have him upset, one would never know it. He was a great philosopher on a myriad of subjects and was fascinating to listen to him expounding on various topics. He was a Chiropractor Physician and was often referred to as “Doc”. He resided in and practiced in Coraopolis, PA , for 50 years. He was a member of the American Chiropractor Association, American Chiropractor Association of PA., Kiwanis Club and the Ham Radio Operators Association. His hobbies included photography, ham radio, boating, camping, fishing an avid motor cyclist enthusiast, and a very gifted musician on a variety of instruments. He was a former member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. His smile and outgoing personality, a kind word for everyone are all traits that will be sorely missed.

A service for family and friends is at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave., Saturday, Sept. 24th, at 1:00 P.M. followed by interment at Coraopolis Cemetery, next to his wife where he will be given a military funeral. R.I.P. Frank. We love and miss you.
