David "Woody" Bruce Woodruff

David (Woody) Bruce Woodruff age 67 of Moon Twp. passed away Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospice Heritage Valley Beaver. Dave was born July 29, 1950 to the late Frances Ferri and David Lee Woodruff. Before his retirement, he was a Commercial Insurance Claims Agent and prior to that loved his work for Conrail. Dave loved spending time with the joys of his life, his daughters and granddaughter, Sienna.  As an animal lover especially of dogs he was fondly thought of as the “dog whisperer”.  Dave is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Mayhan Woodruff, his two daughters; Kate and her husband Dave Boatti of Hoboken NJ & Kasey Woodruff also of Hoboken NJ, a cherished granddaughter, Sienna Boatti, also, his sister Barbara (Ken) Kelly of Westerville, OH. He was a lover of all Pittsburgh sports, enjoyed music and reading, taking family vacations, and loved teasing his wife and daughters about spending too much money.  Friends will be received Mon 9am till 10:30 am at The Copeland Moon Twp. Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Rd. followed by a 11am Mass of Christian Burial in St Margaret Mary Church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to ASPCA (aspca.org).
