Charles D. Green

Charles D. Green of Moon Twp. passed away Mar. 24, 2018 at Heritage Valley Sewickley. Charles was born in Pittsburgh to the late Edna Heckman and Daniel Green. He was graduate of Penn Hills High School and Carnegie Institute of Technology where he got a Degree as a Metallurgical Engineer. Charles worked for  both Crucible Steel and J & L Specialty Co  where he was a Supervisor in Charge of the Met. Lab. Charles was an Army Veteran, a member of St. James Church, enjoyed playing golf, watching the Steelers, Pens, and Pittsburgh Pirates. He also  enjoyed going to the beach especially at Pawley Island.  He is survived by his wife; Kathleen Hodnik Green, a sister Elda Miller of Monroeville, a brother Lawrence (Joyce) of MI, also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Copeland Moon Twp. Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Rd. where Prayers will be recited Wed. at 9:15AM followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. James Church Sewickley, with Father Thomas J. Burke Celebrant, burial will follow with Military Honors in St. Hedwig Cemetery in West Mifflin.
