Albert Miller, age 83, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born in Coraopolis on May 19, 1934 to the late Albert Rudolph and Edna (Yurcak) Miller. He lived most of his life in the Coraopolis and Moon Area. On June 16, 1956, he married his lovely wife Joan who predeceased him on July 29, 1998. They had two loving children and four grandchildren: Al Miller (Heidi) of Robinson and Karen Ray (Mark) of Moon Township; cherished grandfather of Samantha, A.J., Tiffany and Sydney; step-grandfather of Shelby Rearick (Ben); devoted brother of Joan Haberland of Aleppo township, Donald Miller (Ruth) of Moon Township, Jim Miller of Crescent and the late Jacqueline Jeschke and Lou Miller; brother-in-law of Linda Miller. Albert retired from Shenango, Inc. as a Design Engineer. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Al had been a member of BPOE Lodge 1090 where he had been a trustee, the Slovakian National, Coraopolis Moose and the VFW Post 402. Albert had loved to golf and fish. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Visitation Wednesday 2-8 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead RD. where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 10 AM. Father Frank Kurimsky, celebrant. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors.
